Actually, another small section of the Constitution states that every man between the ages of 17-60 are automatically candidates for the local militia, and are allowed to own as many registered weapons as he pleases, as long as they are sanctioned for Militia use.
It's right next to the section that says Americans can overthrow their government if it becomes Tyranical, or anything in comparison to what the original colonists were attempting to flee, and eventually had to rebel against.
Don't belive me? Go over the document with a fine tooth comb before attempting to correct me...
