SPEAK YOUR MIND

"Does the distance one travels from center make one more free to move?"

"No. Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as metaphor has two parts: form and interpretation. Of course, the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom, as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning. Freedom is being the bricoleur, the mason."

Good point. But do you think this is more the fault of the game merely being simple, or that the blame rests on the developers. After all, they could have done so much better, if they were going to licence novels about the plot.

And how could you guys not hear about Doom's novels? Evidently the media is attempting to place the blame on them and it's PC version (a small clip of them was captured on CNN, in a Police evidence bag, along with some KMFDM cds and a Marilyin Manson t-shirt.) for making the kids unstable.

Phew. If Doom was that simple, just think what would happen if they wre reading the Halo novels (temporally impossible, I know), or the Marathon story page was in their favorite list...
