SPEAK YOUR MIND
"Does the distance one travels from center make one more free
to move?"
"No. Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as
metaphor has two parts: form and interpretation. Of course,
the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom,
as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning.
Freedom is being the bricoleur, the mason."

Well stated.
: my personal opinion is heat, the more south you go
: freakyer the americans are:)
I love thy neighbor as much as the next American, and THAT'S the problem.
We all hate everyone equally, but we want to be left alone. It occured to me a long while ago that the whole point of the Human evolution (and I belive God CREATED evolution, to those weirdos out there) is individuality, and we seem to be at a point where the individual only hangs out socially to better his own position in the social ladder...
Sorry to rant...
9/11 changed some of that, but it still stands that we're a bunch of angry people in an angry country that likes to defy the norm, simply because no one else will.
The Muslim world despises us because we do things "that nobody else can or will do", like allow religious freedom, and not dictate morality (although our government is getting awful damn close to this.) like they do.
And if anyone disagrees, look at what Al-Quada was doing to those poor f00king people in Afganistan.
