Because Bungie are a good company who produce good games, and ID are a company who have relied on the same games for years. Now we've got Quake 4 coming, and it. will. suck.

If you had played ANY of the Marathon Trilogy, you would know there is absolutley no comparison to anything that happens in Doom (or DOOM to you), to what happens in any of the marathon games. The similarities stop at the genre.

Yes I would, because I didnt even play Doom until after Marathon, simply because Doom, even then, looked crap.

Marathon was actually BASED on a book (we think). It did not have books made after it, and just as well, because it would bugger up the whole mystery and charm of Marathon if it had.

And I find "DOOM game had four novels written about it in order to deepen the plot" hilarious.
