Here... You want to know if Marathon continues? It does, in the form of Halo. The more you know about both games, the more connections you'll see between them.

In Marathon you play as the Moljnir Mark III.
In Halo you play as the Moljnir Mark IV titled Masterchief.

It gets deeper, but its not a solid line that says Halo is a direct succession of the Marathon series, like anything Bungie does, it is inferred so you can come to your own interpretation.

Halo does have novels for it.
Now, tell me Halo isn't big.
