SPEAK YOUR MIND
"Does the distance one travels from center make one more free
to move?"
"No. Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as
metaphor has two parts: form and interpretation. Of course,
the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom,
as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning.
Freedom is being the bricoleur, the mason."

: Now, on an off tangent... What are the gun laws/rights in
: Canada anyway? Dad won't go to Canada simply cause
: there is no 2nd Amendment.
Same here. The only reason half of my family lives in Scotland is because Gramps has a Royal Military licence to own weapons there, and that's where he keeps a lot of surplus equipment; I have no clue about Canada.
We do have a gun VAULT (not just a safe, mind you, a bomb-proof Vault) in our basement because we were ordered by the local authorities to have one if we keep our select collection here in the US(Read: We are an unregistered local Militia in their terms).
I cannot stand people that say 'GUNS KILL'. It's wrong, people kill people, and guns are just one way to do it.
If one person wants another one dead, and they can't get a gun, they'll stab the bastard; failing that, they'll beat them to death with a blunt object or etc. Just look at inmate populations.
