SPEAK YOUR MIND

"Does the distance one travels from center make one more free to move?"

"No. Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as metaphor has two parts: form and interpretation. Of course, the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom, as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning. Freedom is being the bricoleur, the mason."

: I finally got around to test these (I know, it's been
: hectic). I think both are a marginal improvement on
: the current AR, but still not quite there. The B
: variant is both too slow, and with too great a
: falloff. The C variant is closer, but the projectile
: is too fast, and the falloff still too great. I think
: if the projectile shot out with a slower speed than C,
: but faster than B, and if the falloff wasn't as sharp
: as C (perhaps so that it lands further by as much as B
: is shorter than C), then it'd be very close. Good
: work!

Thanks for the feedback. I have been meaning to get around to doing something kind of in between these two variants -- I pretty much agree with the assessment that the gravity seemed too prominent in the C variant, and that the projectile speed needed to be toned down a bit.

Made a new variant - D, which is right in between B & C in terms of behavior.

See the zip file for the D variant. Drop the .u file into your system folder if you're having trouble getting the map to run.

Also, if you want to try out any of the variants in the normal SP/MP maps, load up what you want to play and then type "summon ModifiedAssaultRifle.*" where * is MA75B, MA75C, or MA75D.

A quick note: I recommend you delete the ModifiedAssaultRifle.u from your system folder after you're done testing with it.
