SPEAK YOUR MIND

"Does the distance one travels from center make one more free to move?"

"No. Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as metaphor has two parts: form and interpretation. Of course, the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom, as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning. Freedom is being the bricoleur, the mason."

D'oh. Adjusting the Z per tick is how we're getting the behavior as it is.

Reducing the gravity by half seems to give us a trajectory that's a lot more like the traditional arc -- Although in UT it feels rather "floaty."

Since the ratio of speed/gravity felt right, but a little too slow both in projectile speed and in falling speed, I increased both by 2/3s... I think it's just about right now. More testing is necessary, but I think it's pretty close.

: However the falling behavior of the grenade ... From what
: I can see, gravity is handled natively in Unreal, so I
: can't simply adjust the strength of gravity. I know
: it'd be possible to adjust the projectile's Z velocity
: each tick and make it work that way, although that's
: not ideal... Not sure if there are better ways to
: approach the issue.
