SPEAK YOUR MIND
"Does the distance one travels from center make one more free
to move?"
"No. Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as
metaphor has two parts: form and interpretation. Of course,
the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom,
as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning.
Freedom is being the bricoleur, the mason."

Wow..thank you for that thorough write up.
It seems you like most of the changes we've made to the M:R weapon line up. Some of the bugs that still linger have been around for a while, and the fact they haven't been resolved yet is a combination of not enough time/man hours for the programmers, and really tricky coding problems as well. The grenade falloff we've changed and altered dozens of times..seriously..in internal builds and tweaks we've changed that thing so many times I fail to remember. The problem is there's always something wrong with the falloff, that makes it not behave like in Marathon. If the grenade has too long a range, it won't fall off as fast as it did in Marathon. If it has a greater falloff arc, then it doesn't have sufficient range in some maps..especially in Ingue Ferroque when you have to shoot up at some switches. Basically, it's a catch 22, and the last tweak is as close a compromise we could make.
Again, thanks for taking the time, and looking forward to the rest. I'm glad you've been enjoying M:R.
