Here's the point.
2 years ago, Et'he and I wanted to do the exact same stuff you did. I'm PR, and he's graphics. But, guess what you need to do to do all the fancy stuff that you want?

Wolfchild owns the code, and he's one of the Big Three (Me, Et'he, Wolfchild). He and Cap'n don't want it happening, so it's not happening. I'm sorry, but I just can't make it any simpler for you. Believe me, we've said everything you have and more. It's not happening. Back then, we just wanted some sort of running product, now we just want it done. We just don't have the time for bells and whistles.
However...
Once we're done, we'll probably release all the sources (with the original authors' consents). Then, you can learn UnrealScript and code in new shit to your heart's content. I'd love to see it happen, but right now, I only want the game to get finished.
I've been working on this longer than anyone else. It's literally been 3 years for me. I started the project in November of my Junior year in high school (meaning that I started posting on message boards begging for help). My vision is to get this done and move on, and then let the community do what they will.
