SPEAK YOUR MIND

"Does the distance one travels from center make one more free to move?"

"No. Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as metaphor has two parts: form and interpretation. Of course, the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom, as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning. Freedom is being the bricoleur, the mason."

Got a version of the map up here: www.cineris.org/online/ColonyShip.unr

It's obviously not entirely finished. The movers are the real hard part... I think I figured out the shooting issue (However -- Any type of shot, including bullets, activates these triggers just fine. Not sure if there's a way to make it so only grenades et al. activate them).

I also couldn't figure out how to get the whole "switch activates and changes texture" thing working. I realize in the demo maps it's done using a mover that moves up/down or side/side really fast, and has the different textures on the different faces that get revealed/hidden. I tried doing it though, and it wouldn't work for me. (Personally I also swear there's got to be a triggerable way to change a texture, or at least animate a texture, instead of having to screw around with having movers moving all around just to get it to look like the switch is going.)
