Except that there's no hint in the story line that this goes on. In fact, since time does not stop when viewing terminals in M2 or MInf it strongly implies that this does NOT happen.

This would require a custom texture (probably more than one). Such writing could not be made up of many polygons with contrasting textures because:
A) It could not be on a wall since only one poly face can make up a wall
B) It could not be on a floor or ceiling because if it were I would have seen it in the geometry when I was converting Arrival to UT. And I didn't.
I guess it could have been in the leaked beta or in the demo but it's not in the release version. It's also possible that such a texture could be hidden someplace other than the Shapes file or in a non-standard format. This would require that the engine would have to have been modified especially to find and display this one texture just for this one little East egg, Color me skeptical.
