SPEAK YOUR MIND

"Does the distance one travels from center make one more free to move?"

"No. Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as metaphor has two parts: form and interpretation. Of course, the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom, as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning. Freedom is being the bricoleur, the mason."

: Honestly, I’m a bit surprised that Res’s mod is as
: conservative as it is. When I was hanging out on the
: private forums many months ago, there were some
: crazy/cool ideas that were being bandied about between
: the team members.

When things actually started coming together, I was pretty surprised too. I think a lot of design decisions boiled down to how much time we wanted to spend working, how much we were capable of doing, and how much the Unreal engine would allow us to do.

Wolfchild and myself probably also acted as moderating influences, as the ones responsible for seeing the mod actually take shape. Wolf's conservative, and I'm pretty anal about performance... So anything was completely out there or otherwise just wouldn't work was ignored pretty quickly. :)
