SPEAK YOUR MIND

"Does the distance one travels from center make one more free to move?"

"No. Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as metaphor has two parts: form and interpretation. Of course, the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom, as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning. Freedom is being the bricoleur, the mason."

: If I remember correctly Marathon had zero air control.
: All you could do was turn your view. You really
: couldn't "swim" in any direction while in
: the air. Allowing the player to have air control gives
: it that UT feel to it, which I'd rather not see in
: Resurrection.

In Marathon, the player would continue moving forward at the same speed when falling, but the direction of movement would in fact change if the player turned the view. This made it possible to actually steer around corners and the like in mid-air. The only thing the player couldn't control during free fall was their forward/backward speed.
