SPEAK YOUR MIND

"Does the distance one travels from center make one more free to move?"

"No. Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as metaphor has two parts: form and interpretation. Of course, the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom, as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning. Freedom is being the bricoleur, the mason."

I like that idea by and large. Not too sure about the whole time limit thing, methinks you'd often see teams defending the flag where it falls and waiting for the timeout rather than even attempting to return it...

I always thought about more-or-less standard CTF a la UT, only with the added twist of not returning the flag to your base, but to a distinct delivery point or goal. The advantage (or difference anyway) to this is the flag carrier and any escort would be headed away from their own flag rather than straight back to it, making it easier for the opposing team to take their flag in response. SDefensive strategies change dramatically in this scenario.

And imagine both teams having to return the captured flags to the same delivery point...
