After much reading:
The map, sounds, images etc. files need to be moved to the main directory, and renamed as they were in the origional game. There are directions for getting cheats to run, and how to skip levels. Aleph still appears to be buggy, with some levels hitching me up (like collecting those circuts - can't pickup more than 1 in Aleph) which tends to ruin the experience and makes cheats necessary to stay alive later on.
All I can say is: "Beware of Low Flying Defense Drones" is a rather dull level cf. the rest of the game...it needs sprucing up.
