My Comments on M:R after playing the demo

First thing I noticed is that the new magnum is quite inaccurate, that's too bad, I really liked the original. The model is cool though and the hand movements are interesting. It feels like it reloads fast....

But on the other hand, the entire game seems accelerated. That's not necessarily bad, could always set the game speed down for a more classic experience. It certainly is more challenging at UT speeds though.

Walking/Running feels a lot like gliding. Maybe if possible increase bobbing, but definitely would like some footstep sounds. Also, sounds are needed for jumping.

I like the way the terminals work now, makes it less of a problem if some punk fighter sneaks up behind you. (Fighter footsteps would also be good).

Hulks rule. Love the Hulk model. The "hard" death could use more chunks, but they're so neat, glad there are a lot in the demo. One thing I was disappointed with was on Habe Quiddam when in the area with the door in the recess in the floor, I managed to kill all the fighters but one of the hulks was still alive, and I went down into the recessed floor area. He was coming after me, but was unable to jump down the short bit into the pit area. Since they are pretty ape like it would seem they would be able to get down a short distance to follow after me.

S'pht are very cool, I liked that they fly around a lot now. Was sad in the old Ms that they could fly but never really did.

Big ups on the BOBs, very human looking movemetns. Their comments could use some work.

The running punch seems too strong. I can take out a green fighter with one punch consistently -- it's better than the magnum, especially now that it's inaccurate :\

My main problem is that the architecture looks very early 90s. I understand the purist position but think the unreal engine should be put to better use than just simply recreation. Just my opinion :)

The minor problems I have are mostly sound or lack thereof. Maybe grab some ambient sounds from M2 + Infinity. It doesn't really feel like I'm on this huge space ship and am travelling through some various undefined locations dedicated to certain crucial purposes of keeping the ship habitable or science or whatnot... I think some ambient sounds would go a way towards achieving that.
