I would be cool if there were different footsteps for each monster, they had to sound different and be at a different pace, AND change when changing surface, while most of the Marathon is made of metal, there are "different" kinds of steps.
I belive that it would be possible to record one sound for each surface (metal, pfhor stuff) and then inside UT change the pace, a Hulk would go THUMP--------THUMP--------THUMP, while a Pfhor fighter would go tap--tap--tap--tap....
One would still need different sounds for different monsters.
My father (who has experance in sounds) said hed help me if I wanted to help you, what do you say ?
