SPEAK YOUR MIND

"Does the distance one travels from center make one more free to move?"

"No. Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as metaphor has two parts: form and interpretation. Of course, the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom, as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning. Freedom is being the bricoleur, the mason."

Right, I haven't taken a look at your usage in BQ yet, and don't really remember ever getting an incomplete terminal on that level. I'm pretty sure I used a similar thing for the secret terminal in Colony Ship, with regards to the trigger that activates the terminal actor being inactive initially... I guess the critical issue I'm having is how handle the fact that all three need to be triggered before the final one will activate, but that the triggers themselves are nonsequential. The only thing I can think of is some kind of cascading circuit of triggers...

: What I used to do was put two separate Terminal actors,
: each with it's own trigger. The two triggers I would
: put in exactly the same position. By default, the
: trigger for the incomplete terminal would be enabled
: and the one for complete terminal would be disabled.
: When the conditions for completion were satisfied, I'd
: switch the enable states on the two triggers. If you
: look at the Terminal actors around the first terminal
: location in Blaspheme Quarantine in the demo, you can
: see how this works.
