SPEAK YOUR MIND

"Does the distance one travels from center make one more free to move?"

"No. Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as metaphor has two parts: form and interpretation. Of course, the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom, as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning. Freedom is being the bricoleur, the mason."

: As for the AI, I believe each monster calculated the most
: direct route to the player by drawing a line from the
: midpoint of one poly to the next connecting poly and
: so on, until it reached the player's position.

=> very smart... pity modern games don't actually think that smart.

I've been able to emulate in-game behaviour for nearly all of the monsters by triggering activity with doors and proximity sensors, and with well-placed pathnodes around the level. I have been having issues with Enemies shooting each other - as this level is arranged with a few + intersections. Still, it's good entertainment.

Thanks for the help - it's appreciated and needed atm.
