I'm gonna be petty for a minute and point out that of the teams who WERE invited, something like half have never even RELEASED anything, much less shown that they even know what they're doing.
Really, I'm just bitter that I didn't get a free Geforce 4. I've already gotten my eyeful of 2k3.
I can say little uncertainty that code-wise, things probably WILL require a good bit of retooling. 2k3 isn't a patch over UT like UT was to Unreal -- there's a lot of changes under the hood. And that it's probably in the interest of whomever is responsible to bulk up the polycounts of the models.
