SPEAK YOUR MIND

"Does the distance one travels from center make one more free to move?"

"No. Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as metaphor has two parts: form and interpretation. Of course, the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom, as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning. Freedom is being the bricoleur, the mason."

Creating the maps, and texturing them appears to be no trouble for me now that I figured out those two tools were futzed up.

Its the upper level "BS" that has to be applied near the end that has me groaing with pain and lack of enthusiasm to finish any work. Sure, I could release the maps with absolutly no bot pathing ;-) But then... you HAVE to play it with somebody, or the map just uhm, sucks balls.

I actually found doing the geometry and cutting peicing, and all easy to do. Once you learn the quirks of 'what not to do'. One being the cut tool... you have to be very careful how you place the points, and in what direction yougo (kinda like forge and its placement direction of vertex points before filling the polygon). I think maybe this is because I used "Quiver" extensively before for doing some quake stuff... its a BSP type setup, but not as fancy shmancy as Unreal does it. But its good building block learning.
