SPEAK YOUR MIND

"Does the distance one travels from center make one more free to move?"

"No. Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as metaphor has two parts: form and interpretation. Of course, the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom, as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning. Freedom is being the bricoleur, the mason."

What I should have done in the first place was re-install the BIOS, which would reset the origional settings. It was only after I decided to underclock it (a few hours ago) that I noticed new drivers for Nvidia. These included a new Bios.

The thing is that the agents for the computer company we bought the machine from had overclocked (and I suspect the voltage settings were tampered) the graphics card (now we all know that tends to cause problems) and after several hours of high end usage (Hitman 2) the only crashes were a result of Hitman's problems - card no longer overheats.

Thanks for the suggestions (I like the idea of casing removal; pity it would void warantee) - just after nearly three months, I was beginning to get a little bit distraught.
