The Umod installer should be part of the 436 updater. If you haven't updated UT to 436 yet, swing by Evihcra.com or another download site and grab the updater first. Without it you won't be able to play the mod even if you did install it.
Westlake Interactive also have the umod installer as a standalone download at
http://www.westlakeinteractive.com/download0013.html
As far as installing goes:
Step 1. Drag the umod file on the installer.
Step 2. Do whatever the installer tells you to do.
Step 3. Play M:R
Step 4. Tell us if you like it!
