SPEAK YOUR MIND

"Does the distance one travels from center make one more free to move?"

"No. Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as metaphor has two parts: form and interpretation. Of course, the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom, as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning. Freedom is being the bricoleur, the mason."

In Response To: HOW DO I INSTALL????? (ktulu)

: Im running Windows 98 SE and I downloaded the beta 1 of
: resurrection but i dont know how to run/install it! i
: got the zip file, unzipped it and put the UMOD file in
: the system directory. but i dont know what to do now.
: someone plz telll me what im supposed to do.

Unreal Tournament automatically associates itself with UMOD files when it installs, but here's how to manually do it:

Go into view->folder options->file types. Scroll down to the U's, and see if UMOD (unreal module) is there. If it is, open it up, if not, create a new file extension type. Create a new action (delete the old one if it's already there) and for its description enter "Install this Unreal Module." (without the quotes, this's just for reference, it doesn't actually do anything).
Under actions, specify the path to your unreal tournament directory, defaults to "c:/unreal tournament", I think...

Enter this in the actions: "C:/Unreal Tournament/system/setup.exe install %1" and you should be set...it might take a while to load the umod when you double-click on it, because it's gotta unpack it or something. Then just follow the directions in the installer.

If that doesn't work, it's cuz I got something wrong, probably :) I'm just giving these directions from memory, I'll double-check when I get to my home computer.
