UMODS under Windows are self-installing. You should be able to doouble-click on the umod file and follow the prompts to install. Mac users need to drop the umod file on the umod installer app. Linux users are so smart they probably already wrote their own installers in assembly language that automatically downloaded the beta, installed it, played it, wrote bug reports and fixed all of the bugs while simultaneously improving OpenGL performance by 5-7% on average.
