SPEAK YOUR MIND
"Does the distance one travels from center make one more free
to move?"
"No. Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as
metaphor has two parts: form and interpretation. Of course,
the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom,
as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning.
Freedom is being the bricoleur, the mason."

: The original Marathon did not have crosshairs. Besides,
: it is very doable to aim without crosshairs.
That's all well and good, but it's missing the point. Yes, the original Marathon didn't have crosshairs and it was perfectly ok, but only because they weren't needed. The weapons were placed in the center of the screen and sized such that you could use them to aim. By looking down the "iron sights" of your weapon, you could accurately place your shots.
This doesn't work in Resurrection because most of the weapons are off in la-la land. Especially the pistol, which is supposed to be the most accurate weapon in the game! This is definitely something that should be fixed. It doesn't have to be a massive undertaking, though. I suspect that simply adding a laser sight to the pistol would alleviate much of the problem. As somebody else said, it doesn't really matter that much for weapons other than the pistol.
