: So here are my annoyances, I hope they can be fixed in
: some future minor update: What's the deal with the
: life rechargers? Some of them work fine, but most of
: them only work if you stand at a certain place at a
: certain distance and look at them, or sometimes away
: from them, at a certain angle. Weird.
Known issue. Mostly a result of having so many different mappers and how counterintuitive it is to create a shield charger. When/if I go back to the SP campaign, I will standardize everything so that it all works the same way, and consistently.
: Cold Fusion seems to crash if you look toward the wall at
: a certain location, the same thing also happened on
: Habe Quiddam.
Known issue. It doesn't happen all the time for me, but in every circumstance I've seen so far it has to do with warpzones / 5D space.
: "Smells Like Napalm, Tastes Like Chicken" and
: lava-heavy levels like "Fire! Fire! Fire! Fire!
: Fire!" are impossibly choppy, even when I bring
: the graphics settings down as low as they'll go. (On a
: 2x2 GHz G5, 2.5 GB RAM)
Turn off volumetric lighting if your performance suffers. I definitely intended for them to be seen with volumetric lighting, but it's always been a major performance hit and there's nothing that I can do about that (see, for example, Hourences' DOM-Hodean). Basically I don't know if it's going to be feasible to see the volumetric lighting in OSX, or even in OS9, simply because I need to do development work on a PC. (However, my machine is over two years old, so pretty much any recent PC should handle things fine).
: A few times I have been unable to fire after reading
: terminals, I don't know why.
Never encountered this one myself.
: Reading the end terminal on "Smells Like
: Chicken" before completing the level goal also
: screws everything up.
I noticed this, but I'm not sure why it occurs. Fix for me was to type in the ghost command and fly away from the terminal. I'll try to fix it in a level update.
: Other than that (and the music not working, but I've been
: told that's not your fault and can't be helped) I love
: it, especially how good the 3D models turned out, and
: especially the Hunter. Awesome. Good work!
