Actually, I am a Halo fan. I read about Marathon, but it being for Mac, I never played it....
I recently dug out my emulators and gave it a shot though.. Unfortuneately, the emulator doesnt emulate the mouse properly, and it only emulates an '040, so it doesnt appear terribly prettiful. I played the first two levels, and must say I perferred your version better. :P (Ambience is better, Player can jump, Player can look straight up.....) Only beef I have is the lack of the map overlay, but I guess you cant have everything.
The gameplay style reminds me of a PC game by another (now sadly defunct) company called LookingGlass studios; SystemShock(2). Unreal Tournament is a better engine than SS2 though. SShock series has a simmilar plot (Crazy AI), and simmilar asynchronous plot style (Message fragments all over)... Should this project finish, I will add it to my list of creepy scifi games I enjoyed playing.
I am serious about having other projects I am working on though. I do a lot of XBOX savedgame modifications, and am working on a rather ambitious project for XBOX morrowind at the moment. (Long story short, the saved games can contain new instances of world geometry, so I am using that to my advantage to make a very unique savedgame for the XBOX community.) It is consuming a lot of my time. I also help out from time to time for an open source project called ReactOS. (Their project aims to reimplement a windows NT flavor OS from the ground up. Allready rumored to run UT in software mode, without sound. ;P Check them out some time.)
