There's a UT mutator that allows you to modify the length of time that decals stay. M:R could also have an option that would allow bodies to remain where they are. Bodies didn't disappear in the Marathon games except in cases of low memory (I think). I never had this happen except in third-party maps with respawning monsters. Bodies stayed in place in Unreal as well. Although UT certainly has higher requirements than the Marathon games.
