Ok, mearly 2 hours before the tourney started on the second night, I downloaded a 3rd party program for UT called "Demo Manager". It is supposed to make demo recording and playback easy, but as I found at my grand displeasure is that it don't always work well...
I still managed to get [almost] three mathes recoded. The movies weights about 2Mb to 3Mb and can be found on my ftp server at ftp://ftpnovat.dhs.org/etienne/mrtourney/ (I don't have the upload bandwith to host those, so if anyone could pick up please.) The EMFH is cutted short a bit at the beggining, sorry about that.
To use them, copy then to you /system/ UT folder, run UT, go to the system console and type:
demoplay filename?timebased?noframecap
as in this example:
demoplay day2_2dKOTH.dem?timebased?noframecap
This will play will play to movie based on time (not on frames) and without fps limit. (Because you don't want to be limited by my dating Matrox G400.)
You can also add ?3rdperson at the end to view the demo as a spectator (otherwise you will see it as me). The only thing is that you can't see the scores when playing as a spectator... :(
You can also add ?loop if you want the film to restart forever.
To stop the playback, go back to the console and type stopdemo.
While watching those recording in first person, you are stuck with the normal UT GUI. And remember you can use the up and down key in the UT system console to get to what typed past/next.
Thank you all that came to the tourney, it was a blast!
