Resurrection port?

Will Marathon Resurrection be finished sometime next year for Unreal Tournament, or is the team considering an upgrade to the Unreal Tournament 2004 engine? Probably a much easier endeavor than porting it to the Halo PC engine by Bungie and GearBox. Also, is UT2K4 backward compatible with original UT maps, if not natively then perhaps with an OldSkool style modification? If so, porting is redundant.
