SPEAK YOUR MIND
"Does the distance one travels from center make one more free
to move?"
"No. Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as
metaphor has two parts: form and interpretation. Of course,
the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom,
as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning.
Freedom is being the bricoleur, the mason."

: How much freedom do you guys want when we work on these

: game, pulsing lights, smoke effects, even fog layers
: (which I don't think work). The origional, was, to my
: liking, too not-freaky.
: Does anyone mind if we include some of our own content in

: actors? What about bustable lights/glass objects?
The best thing to do, is to try and keep consistency for the levels. You already have many of the redone levels, so you can get an idea of where things can be improved, such as you suggested, lighting, sounds, textures. Adding elements that are not in other SP levels, or things you can do in one but not another would add a layer of confusion and inconsistency that I'd rather not see. If you wish to create third-party MP maps for M:R outside of the SP stuff, that's an excellent opportunity to add the things you mentioned, but the SP experience needs to be consistent with what's already been done in the existing maps, and all the unreleased maps that are actually done, do that already. My advice then, is to try and match that as best as you can. There's some room for creativity in that sense, but it's still supposed to be M:R. Hope that helps.
