Stuffit Expander version 8.0.2 & Resurrection

The new Stuffit Expander doesn't have the "Cross Platform" option in the Preferences so you cannot install Marathon Resurrection Beta onto your Mac. Because of the new version, does this cause the new Stuffit to convert the non-Macintosh files for Mac files by default with no way of changing it? If so is there a way around this?
