SPEAK YOUR MIND
"Does the distance one travels from center make one more free
to move?"
"No. Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as
metaphor has two parts: form and interpretation. Of course,
the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom,
as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning.
Freedom is being the bricoleur, the mason."

Well, I'd be okay playing without crosshairs if the guns were just centered a bit more. In Marathon, it was easy to aim using the weapon sprite/model. It's a tad harder with the M:R models (especially with the pistol, because it's *way* out to the side). Against other humans it wouldn't be such a big deal, because we'd all be equally handicapped. But against my bots... it ain't pretty. They can aim fine regardless of crosshairs or models.
And anyway, like I said: back in M1, M2 and Moo, the Magnum pistol was the best sniping weapon you had. Real accurate, real easy to aim, decent damage. Now I can snipe better with the sawed-off shotgun.
Forgive my griping. I love playing M:R, but the whole point of Beta releases is to find out what people think could be improved, right?
It's your guys' choice about whether or not to put in crosshairs (I think that FPS gaming may have changed enough in the years since Marathon that it might not be a bad idea, even if it is a departure from the Marathon gameplay), but if not, could you do something about that pistol? It just ain't right.
Just IMHO,
Brian
