SPEAK YOUR MIND

"Does the distance one travels from center make one more free to move?"

"No. Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as metaphor has two parts: form and interpretation. Of course, the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom, as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning. Freedom is being the bricoleur, the mason."

: My question involves 'Never Burn Money' I'm down in the
: pit, there is (I think) a switch button high up in the
: wall. In the old day's I used the granate launcher to
: flip the switch, but now I can fire at it all I want,
: but there's nothing happening or a way out? Help?

I'm pretty sure I know the area you're talking about, however, playing through that section of the level in A1, I couldn't find a way to exit it (without cheating to give myself the SPNKR and blasting my feet until I got out). I'll recheck this later on to see if it's a mistake that there's no exit.

: I do know that on other levels, like Couch Fishing, I
: tried firing at switches and it didn't work for me
: (unless I missed something.) Not needed however as it
: all works fine activating by hand. Great level by the
: way... incredible attention to detail! Man, that last
: pit had me stumped until I remembered the old
: "run around".

Most of the switches that don't require shooting to activate won't work if you try and shoot them -- This is mostly an issue of practicality, as it's more difficult to do switches that respond to both the action key or weapons fire.

: As I advance up the levels, I shake my head in awe of the
: workmanship. Hell, I've been ambushed too many times
: from gawking at the scenery, graphics and 3D
: environment! I've played The Rose through a couple of
: times because of a personal challenge to see many BOBs
: I could keep from being obliterated. I realize there
: are 20 levels or so to go but each one is a visual
: delicacy in this new UT environment.

Much appreciated, thanks.
