: Hey randomer, I have no contact info and your site is
: sparce on details, but I just wanted to make special
: note to you and about you and the invaluable
: contribution you've made to this project. The Marathon
: Map Converter saved hundreds of hours and has been an
: incredibly useful resource to bring the maps,
: especially single player ones, to fruition. Thank you!

I'm alive, really!
Thanks for the mention; it really means a lot! I'm really glad that it was actually useful!
Interestingly I did notice an increase in traffic to the MMC site recently, which means someone actually went to it.
That's what caught my attention and brought me around again.
Considering the amazing number of posts recently, I guess its worth a mention for any diehard Marathon fans wanting to do the map work to get their favorite third party levels ported: MMC (Marathon Map Converter) can be found at http://mmc.randomer.net/. There are essentially two versions.
First is a web based version where you upload your Map file (this should be the raw data fork for the Map, no Macbinary encoding) and it will generate a .tgz (gzipped tar) of the UT .t3d files for each of the levels in the Map file.
The other version is a Windows based OpenGL app that will visually show you the levels in a Map file you choose to open. Keep in mind that this is extremely Alpha, known to be unstable when opening more than 1 Map file, and only sorta supports Marathon 2 and Marathon Infinity. Expect occasional crashes if you use a M2 or Moo Shapes file, and expect wrong textures if you open M2 or Moo Maps with the included M1 Shapes file. I have just added a brief readme file that explains the basics of how to use MMC 2.0 Alpha.
