SPEAK YOUR MIND

"Does the distance one travels from center make one more free to move?"

"No. Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as metaphor has two parts: form and interpretation. Of course, the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom, as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning. Freedom is being the bricoleur, the mason."

Help!

Posted By: Ernie

Hello all again,
Months ago, I was at least able to install and play M:R on my mac using UT. Now, I expected the process of installation on my windows box to be easy. But no... the Demosolo levels show up stating it can't find 'demostarthere' or some such, and none of the actual multiplayer levels work, turning up gibberish like can't load(or find) 'M2' or 'Minf'. I assume it's talking about some textures, or geometry.

I've installed it (via the umod app that was listed (thanks!). Didn't work (the skins/player models work, but little else).

I've uninstalled/installed, peeked around at the manifest.ini, the works. I guess I was stupid to think a windows boxwould be easier to manage than my mac. ;)

Regards,
-Ernie

BTW, anyone know of a program that can extract/convert the mesh + texture of a UT model to say.... 3dMax format? I came across someting similar long ago, but lost the link.
