Appoligies for that last message, I hit "post message" by accident. Mods...hmmm. Consoles are prone to porting (take soul reaver for example, edios just gave up and ported it) if something goes really well, it will be ported to exploit the market, unless the software is under strict supervision of the console maker.

It may be better to generate something which was "halo inspired". I passed by a sight which had stated that there had been no proper 2D mods for UT. 2D? Hell - that is extinct! Think again: Check out Liero a worms clone, it is played on many of my friends machines, and Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project has gone 2D (Duke Nukem 4 AKA Forever was origionally intended to be 2D, and it is a UT engine based game). I am not saying "Make a game that is 2D" but more to look at everything, and generate a game which will be awsome. Hell howmany times have we said "I could do better than that" or "I thought of that ages ago"? The fact is that we can, and that is one of the reasons why I like M:R, because it has a personal quality from the producers that "I did" factor.
Finally: Starcraft. This I don't know about, but using the UT engine - a fast paced strategy game, with the UT AI? And a full 3D world which allows you to explore every corner of the world? With realtime unit interpirated taticts: you be the commander off of a spy movie? and the technology from Starcraft, with a few ideas and options thrown in. Units trained to a higher AI level, designed with variation and personal combatt in mind, where the very survival of you units could be the difference only experienced in FPS combat? - now that sounds like fun. Eat your heart out Blizzard.
