I think it's cool that the Pfhor and Spht dodge, makes it a little more challenging. Personally I think their behaviors should be kept the same if not improved, I like it to be challenging, and that's what the original Marathon was. I mean I'm willing to bet that all of us have played the original Marathon through at least once if not so many times we know where everything is. So I think making the monsters a bit more challenging is a nice change... Personally I think that it would be cool to have some new surprises that no one has seen before, but then it wouldn't really be Marathon anymore would it?
