SPEAK YOUR MIND

"Does the distance one travels from center make one more free to move?"

"No. Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as metaphor has two parts: form and interpretation. Of course, the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom, as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning. Freedom is being the bricoleur, the mason."

Well, I've given the better part of my morning to this and have come up empty. Either the answer is so simple it's been overlooked by everyone, or it's so complex it's ridiculous.

I thought I had it there for a few minutes though. I felt the green and red dots were in different countries. The "do as those traxans" made me think of Texans, and Texas borders Mexico, in roughly the same way the dots are laid out on the clue.

When I did some looking on a map, right by the border of Mexico and Texas there is a town called Marathon. However, I've tried everything I care to think of with regard to Marathon, TX and have come up empty, leaving me to believe Marathon, TX was an unfortunate cooincidence.

All I really have to say in conclusion is that if the chart/map/clue can't be matched up with a map without mathmatical manipulation then in my opinion the whole thing is rather lame and I hope the desinger of this puzzle doesn't persue a career in creating puzzles for video games. I can see it now, "Dude, it was so simple. All you had to do is add up all the angles, divide by the median distance from center, convert that number into Hex, take ever other letter, add up the numerical ASCII code for each letter, divide by 7, and this gives you the number 27. From 27 you should easily see that the answer is Bangor, Maine."
