The watch in this lot has a number of features essential to accuracy, and would have represented the state of the art in timekeeping at the time of its creation.But that's not the only watch being released for the Swiss Made initiative. Moser is also releasing the lactose free (and more reasonably priced) Venturer Swiss Mad. On #SpeedyTuesday January 7, 2020, Omega announced the first stainless steel version based on the 105.003 "Ed White" Speedmaster of June 1965. However this "classic" Speedmaster was received with mixed reactions as it was highly priced and didn't come with a domed Hesalite glass as did the 1960s tool watches.The watchmaking as well is incredible and I still struggle to wrap my head around how someone could come up with such an elegant solution to an incredible problem. The entire endeavor reminds me of "The Easter Problem," which remains a watchmaking bit of trivia I find myself returning to and pondering. Now I've got another watch to ponder, one that opens me up to a new culture and its own ways of perceiving time.By now, we likely all know that a tourbillon is usually just complexity for complexity's sake, and Moser didn't share any chronometry data with this release. I can understand that brands often have to shoot for pushing their own horological boundaries and I have no problem with that here. Moser has a longstanding history of making some incredible-looking tourbillon watches. I would, however, love to see how this watch would look solely as a minute repeater.

Typically, the dial finish Gucci 25H matches the case.
