A Visit To The MB&F M.A.D. Gallery In Dubai
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, and once more after that just for good measure. There are some serious deals to be had in vintage Breitling. While they might not have the same icon-on-the-wrist shock factor as some other watches dating back to the '60s and '70s, they’re nothing short of wildly compelling and attractive, from both mechanical and aesthetic standpoints. From the top, the guys are chatting Lego (again) and James' foray into the shallow end of the audiophile pool (he swears he's not in too deep). Be sure to stay in the mix for a final notes packed full of automotive opinions, sausage creatures, and the mountainous mystery of the Dyatlov Pass. Thanks fake iwc watches for listening, please subscribe or just press play!Elliott is from Saskatchewan, Canada, and his most prized possession is this Seiko 6105. When his father was a teenager in Australia, his aunt was going to Singapore and asked him if he wanted a souvenir; he requested a dive watch and ended up with this piece. Elliott found it when he was 13, had it fixed up five years later, and gave it to his father for Father's Day. Shortly after, it was gifted back to Elliott.Just like the Nekton Seamaster, this piece features a closed caseback, and it's engraved with the 2022 Beijing Olympic Games emblem. The watch is powered by the METAS-certified Omega caliber 8800 – the same in-house movement found in the regular production Seamaster.Let's get back to the details. Seiko announced the SPB313, alongside the SPB315 with a black/gilt dial, and the SPB317 with a classic black dial, reimagining a modern take on Seiko's vintage reference 6105-8000.The case proportions are balanced, with the 37mm case and somewhat narrow 18mm lugs (with straps that taper to 16mm) giving the Field Watch Collection vintage-feeling proportions. Keeping the caseback closed is another smart decision: While the manual-wind Sellita SW 210 is a solid movement and represents Studio Underd0g's step into Swiss-made movements, it's nothing special to look at and not worth the fractions of a millimeter in increased thickness a sapphire caseback would've required.
Breitling is giving customers the option of either a stainless steel case ($11,090) or a red gold case ($32,895), with pas cher rolex yacht master the watches basically identical otherwise (aside from the hands and markers matching the case metal). The later will be a limited edition of 250 pieces, while the steel will not be limited. If we turn to the caseback we can see the lightning-bolt-shaped rear bridge, made of grade five titanium, and the sun-shaped oscillating rotor in 3N yellow gold. All of this sits inside an ATZ (alumina-toughened zirconia) white ceramic and red gold case. The velcro-fastened strap is a yellow woven fabric in the original smiley-face yellow. You often hear folks talking about their love for the Patek Philippe Nautilus – how they wish they could get their hands on one, how it's their grail watch. Well, in the past few years, another Patek has snuck into grail territory and has become just as much unobtanium as the Nautilus. Today we are featuring that very watch: The Aquanaut. While none of these watches have found themselves in retailers' cases (or even the formal production process, for that matter), this is just a downright fun tradition that I hope Seiko keeps up for years to come. I can't stress enough that it's crucial for more brands to take themselves less seriously, and this is an excellent example of doing something that won't necessarily affect the actual commercial products themselves.

You might laugh, but if I'd been a soldier in the making, clasping the Datejust onto my wrist for the first time was akin to putting on my suit of armor. I vividly remember the feeling of how the Jubilee bracelet wrapped around my wrist. I felt empowered, ready to go out there and compete. The Longines Flagship Heritage Moonphase sets out to be a dressy watch with an old-school complication for someone who's not all the way into watches yet. It's clean and well-executed, even if I can quibble with how it wears on the wrist and it doesn't exactly pass the "under the cuff" test. But who's wearing a cuff nowadays anyway?I love this new take on the Aquaracer Solargraph, a watch I actually just love in general. The touches of rose gold really warms the watch up in a way I never realized it needed, but now that I see what the team at Time+Tide have done, it feels like what the watch should have been all along. It's also Time+Tide's 10th anniversary (congrats to the team over there) so I want to give them a shout out for coming out with a great release like this in a big year for the publication.
