Dual weapon bugs

I can't fire two pistols at once, except by holding down both fire buttons IF I haven't yet hit only primary fire. Because when I do hit only primary fire, the secondary fire changes from firing the left hand pistol to merely increasing the right hand pistol's rate of fire. Switching weapons reverts secondary fire to its normal behavior.
Also when I'm out of shotgun shells, but only one shotgun is empty, the game pretends the other shotgun is empty too, so I can't use it.
