SPEAK YOUR MIND

"Does the distance one travels from center make one more free to move?"

"No. Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as metaphor has two parts: form and interpretation. Of course, the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom, as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning. Freedom is being the bricoleur, the mason."

: I have a reasonably potent Mac (2 x 18.gHz G5 w/256mb
: 9800) which might well handle this UT-X thingy. I
: think I'd be reluctant to buy this anthology thing
: unless there was a lot more to it than '03 and '04,
: bith of which I still have.

So you want it - or not ?
You may need to install the classic game in OS 9 natively because there were some kinf of file-copy problems reported when trying to install it in classic mode.

You will need to update to v436 for M:R to function. - then replace the UT Classic app with the UT X app and the 2 ini files and you should be fine.

You can also try to run UT in OSX Classic mode with OpenGLide - thats an OS9 system extension that enables 3Dfx glide rendering on modern graphics cards.
It is 100 % classic compatible - you will be able to run UT smooth in classic mode. (with glide rendering enabled of course)
