SPEAK YOUR MIND

"Does the distance one travels from center make one more free to move?"

"No. Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as metaphor has two parts: form and interpretation. Of course, the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom, as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning. Freedom is being the bricoleur, the mason."

In Response To: Plants on Board (Wail of Suicide)

: I'm sure those of you who frequent these forums regularly
: know I'm doing some of the maps for the project and I
: have been largely trying to update the look of the
: original levels with the capabilities of the UT engine
: while trying to keep the same feel. Last night I was
: working on this one particular section of a level in
: BOB-B-Q and found that it structurally ended up
: looking like an arboretum, so I added in some small
: reservoirs and some small plants.

: While I personally think this is a good change, I'm not
: quite sure how other fans will react to the idea of
: plants on board the Marathon. Take a look at the
: screenshot of the area
: (http://www.cineris.org/wailofsuicide/BobBQ1.jpg) and
: let me know if you think I should leave the plants in
: or take them out.

To be honest they look a bit misplaced there. But how about adding some sun cells or something above the plants? Just to make it a bit more logical. In that way you can keep the plants but it will look a bit more like they have them for an acctually purpose. So.. they grow plants on Marathon to...keep the air fresh. Eh... I dunno.

Either way, keep up the good work!
