SPEAK YOUR MIND

"Does the distance one travels from center make one more free to move?"

"No. Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as metaphor has two parts: form and interpretation. Of course, the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom, as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning. Freedom is being the bricoleur, the mason."

: Hello, I'm new. I've got the tools and all, I've been
: working in forge since 6 or younger. I can use
: UnrealEd. So I think I'm doing Eupfhoria (?level
: number). Now some questions for Tycho. Should I curve
: out the passageways into tubes? If so, how many polys?

In my opinion, make it like you like it and then play it while watching your fps. Your fps should stay above 30fps (with max video settings) at all times. Unless you have an eye-bleedingly fast machine, then everyone else should get decent speed as well. The guideline that I used to have was that you could make it look however you wanted so long as it was recognizable form the original and it didn't look like a completely different ship from the rest of the Marathon levels.

: Oh, and importing with textures didn't work, so I'll
: have to texture myself, so the thing should take a
: while;-)
