SPEAK YOUR MIND

"Does the distance one travels from center make one more free to move?"

"No. Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as metaphor has two parts: form and interpretation. Of course, the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom, as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning. Freedom is being the bricoleur, the mason."

Marathon: Resurrection Forum

The most fun I ever had

The most fun I ever had with the original Marathon was when I used the Physics Model Editor (I think that was the app) to change the MA-75 to fire SPNKR missiles (modified the sound of firing on the MA-75 also). The joyous noise that the weapon made was indescribable, both in the firing and the explosions at impact. I also made more than a few of my own levels to enjoy the weapon on.

I also knocked the theta error down to something reasonable.

The memory of the network games we played with that weapon still give me the willies (I also boosted the players shields up).

I have been "lurking" here for years and just wanted to say thanks for the Mod and I wish I had the time to help you all out. I hope you get it done so I can enjoy the whole game once again.

Oh, and if you get time to modify the MA-75 for me for a level or two...

--Thanks guys,
--Tom
