SPEAK YOUR MIND

"Does the distance one travels from center make one more free to move?"

"No. Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as metaphor has two parts: form and interpretation. Of course, the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom, as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning. Freedom is being the bricoleur, the mason."

Marathon rocks on

Ok, at the risk of sounding gushy, I love everything you guys have done with Marathon. As a veteran of the three original and a few of the third party scenarios (and some meager tinkering of my own in forge and anvil...)on my Mac, I look forward to the new look and feel of Marathon on a full 3D engine. You guys have the feel of Marathon through the whole package- the texturing, the weapons, the music (I listen to it while I study, it makes great background music!) but most importantly, the story. That was Marathons biggest asset, and I see that you're trying to preserve it. I love these Durandal quotes that are all over the site. When you guys are finished with this, I'll be one of the first to download it. Good luck, I hope you can make it all you want it to be.

-Derek
