SPEAK YOUR MIND
"Does the distance one travels from center make one more free
to move?"
"No. Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as
metaphor has two parts: form and interpretation. Of course,
the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom,
as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning.
Freedom is being the bricoleur, the mason."

Me was really excited about Marathon. One day I saw the M1 demo my friend got from a German Mac magazine cover cd. Man it was really cewl but M:2 was already out too so I bought the German version of Marathon 2 : Durandal. I played it for hours. Every day and night I could. Often times more than 8 hours a day. Later, I also bought Infinity with Forge. Infinity was something new. Totally different than the first and second part. Soon, many mods came out. My favourites were Marathon:EVIL (man that one was cewl), Marathon:Tempus Irae (these levels were really tricky and it took me about a week to finish some of them) and then there was Courier 11 (a small mod, no so good in level architecture but I loved the intro seqeunce, showing a combo of alien and homevideo *g*).
Then, after I played all these mods I started mapping. I released various single-player levels which became popular in the German Marathon community. They have been published on many CDs. Too bad I lost all of them. I'm still searching for some backups but unfortunately I didn't find anything.
M:R maps will be published here
